Valencia

If there’s a city in Spain which has it ALL, that is Valencia: sea, beach, mediterranean climate, striking architecture, green spaces, great people, and the most delicious local food. Honestly, the only thing missing is you 😉

Valencia is known around the world as the birthplace of paella, as well as the epicenter of mediterranean cuisine, but also for its traditional Fallas celebration; a local celebration which fills the streets of parades packed with gigantic puppets, with a distinctive air of political incorrectness, and an astonishing fireworks display which every year proves to be more surprising. It is a week full of music, festivals and a great atmosphere; truly spectacular.

Valencia is a town full of live, of color, of traditions. It is an unforgettable city you cannot miss.

Valencia can be enjoyed walking, running or biking, alway along the Turia river. You can enjoy a drink or a nice dance in El Carmen neighborhood, which is full of pubs with the best music mix and an amazing and inviting environment. You can also visit the City of Sciences, an impressive and unique cultural nucleus, which will make your jaw drop. Or you can also grab a boat ride through the superbly biodiverse Albufera, which is the best way to enjoy the most perfect sunset. Make the most of your experience complementing your Spanish course with unique experiences such as Flamenco, Cooking or Art Classes, or traveling around Spain, even doing the mystical Camino de Santiago accompanied by a Spanish teacher, and many other options …

Valencia is home to the best paella in the world. The best place to eat paella is in one of the many shacks around the beach in Playa de las Arenas or the small village of El Palmar. There are different types you can enjoy: meat, seafood, chicken, vegetables, mixed, etc. Plus, Valencia is also a great town to go for tapas and enjoy a refreshing sangría with each bite. We recommend Plaza del Mercado or Plaza de la Virgen for the ultimate experience. You also can’t say no to its most famous drink, horchata. It is a delicious sweet drink made out of tiger nuts milk. Sip one away with friends in order to spend a wonderful saturday afternoon. But if what you are looking for is the best way to spend the night in Valencia, then you need to try a popular drink called Valencia water. A cocktail of champagne, natural orange juice, vodka and gin. It will make you sway!

The Spanish Way Opinions

I have always loved learning new languages and after English and German, I decided to go with tarted Spanish, assuming that being Italian would be much easier, but I was wrong. I was able to read and understand the general meaning but I had issues in speaking
